Luxury Weekend Pilates Retreat

Join Emily for a weekend of Pilates and relaxation at the stunning 42 Acres in Somerset. Surrounded by 700 acres of ancient forest, 42 Acres is a magical retreat space, luxuriously designed with reclaimed materials and powered by renewable and self-generated biomass and solar energy. 

The weekend will be a chance to switch off and reconnect with both body and mind, with plenty of Pilates, guided relaxation, optional massages, and time to reconnect with yourself in this beautiful venue.


There are various accommodation options at 42 Acres - from the most luxurious dorm you will ever stay in, twin and double rooms (single occupancy also available) with either en suite or shared bathrooms (shared bathrooms are shared only between two rooms), to the master suite with its own walk-in dressing room, huge bathroom with a standalone bath and walk-in shower, and beautiful views of the 42 Acres landscape.

All bedrooms have luxury linens and towels provided along with locally made Victoria Ogilvy toiletries - made using only pure essential oils, natural ingredients and infusions.

Food & Drink

From the warm and welcoming family-style kitchen at the heart of the retreat centre, food at 42 Acres aims to nourish our physical, mental, emotional and environmental health. Everything is hand made from organic whole ingredients, mostly sourced within 20 miles of the centre from small scale, artisan growers and producers.

  • 100% organic sourdough bakers (including gluten free)
  • Cold-pressed oils (or unrefined high smoke-point oils for cooking)
  • Unrefined sea salt only
  • 100% sugar free kitchen
  • Chef ’s own sauerkrauts, ferments and pickles

There will be three delicious, nourishing vegetarian meals a day, plus snacks. All dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice.

Pilates & Massage

The Pilates sessions will be suitable for all levels, and will range from gentle and relaxing, to more flowing, strength and stamina-building practices to challenge those who already regularly attend Pilates classes. Class levels will be determined and moulded to fit participating students' needs so that everyone attending will deepen their understanding of Pilates and strengthen their own practice. 

There will be a maximum of 14 guests at the retreat, meaning that students will be able to receive the individual attention that can be more difficult with larger class sizes. Emily will also be available throughout the weekend to answer any questions or queries that you may have regarding your Pilates practice.

Xavier Ballester will also be on hand for those of you that would like to book a massage over the weekend. Xavier is a holistic massage therapist who uses a wide range of massage techniques, from subtle energy work to deep tissue methods, dynamic mobilisations to gentle holds. Every treatment will be unique and is specifically tailored to each person. 

Treatments will be 45 minutes long and are £30.00. Please note that there are a limited number of time slots available for massages so booking early is recommended! Please let Emily know at the time of booking if you would like to arrange a massage as these will need to be pre-booked.

*Please note that 42 Acres is intentionally wi-fi free so that you have the opportunity to really switch-off! There is very limited wi-fi in the kitchen area only.


Arrival is from 5pm on Friday 2nd March 2018.
Departure is by 2pm on Sunday 4th March 2018.

Driving Directions:
SAT NAV BA11 5HL will take you to Holt Farm (which is about 1 mile past 42 acres), so start looking for 42 Acres about 1 mile before the destination on your sat nav if coming from the A303. If you hit Black Arabian Stud stables on your left, you’ve gone too far. If coming through the town of Witham Friary, 42 Acres will be on your right 1 mile after Holt Farm. 42 Acres (our destination) has a sign and a green/black bin, and is next to a red cottage called Holt Cottage (not Holt Farm).
